Once it goes below 60% health, it falls to its knees, then enchants its sword with frost magic before rising and twirling around, beginning Phase 2 Take care not to get hit by this too much, as it gives considerable Frost build-up. Parrying: Most of this boss's sword swings are parryable (consult the Attacks & Counters chart for exact details), and it tends to have relatively telegraphed wind-ups. If you manage your distance well enough, you may also be able to run to the side and get in a hit when it uses Frost Breath as well. These moves tend to have fairly long recovery times, so you can get in a hit or two before backing off again and repeating the process. ![]() In Phase 2, Spring Forward and Triple Swing work as well. You can get in free hits again while it's using Imbue Frost during the change from Phase 1 to Phase 2, which lasts 9 full seconds and doesn't do any damage.īait & Strike: Stay outside its swing radius to bait out distance-closing attacks like Leaping Slam and the double clockwise swing combo. It's up to you whether the risk is worth the extra damage. They'll often just dodge away once they're fully spawned, although they may also do a Spinning Swing.
